It is a hard question to ask but the production, Ain’t No Mo asks it anyway. That is what makes it so brilliant. What would happen is the American government asked all the Black Americans to leave on a way flight back to Africa? …and what if most of them accepted and moved back because it was better to do so than the alternative, which will be racial subjugation. The theater show is made up of short scenes before, during and after Flight 1619, a reference to the year when the first enslaved Africans arrived on colony soil.
This Broadway smash comedy will carry you through Jordan E. Cooper's quick mind quicker than any transatlantic aircraft will, and you'll laugh until you can’t take it anymore.
